London’s largest healthcare consent since the Cleveland Clinic in 2017, this flexible consent for clinical or care home uses on the site responds to an established need for this type of provision in Westminster.
The new low carbon development will deliver much needed healthcare infrastructure in the capital, with an all-electric building housing facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool that will be accessible to NHS patients.
The purpose-built development will optimise its operational performance, floorplates and layouts, and deliver the high level of M&E required for care suites, Laminar flow theatres and a hydrotherapy pool. Embodied carbon will be reduced by partially retaining the existing basement walls, with façade and building services designed for modular offsite construction. Heated via air-source heat-pumps, the fossil-fuel free building will generate renewable energy through roof-mounted photovoltaic panels.
